AI cannot replace AE

AI cannot replace AE.

I know this is true, because GOOGLE, Siri, Alexa, & ChatGPT all confirmed it!!!!

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is amazing!  We live in a time when technology is moving faster than ever.

I was with a client recently that worried that while AI is here to stay and has benefits, that AI may replace the need for humans in the workforce, and “how do we keep up” was what was on his mind.

That’s when I talked about the IRREPLACEABLE SKILL SET EVERY HUMAN POSESSES THAT AI can never replace……ACTUAL EXPERIENCE (AE).

I sat him down, and went to ChatGPT and asked, “can AI replace actual human experience?”

Here is a summary of the response:

“AI can simulate and replicate certain aspects of human experiences, but it cannot fully replace the depth and richness of genuine human interactions and emotions. While AI technologies continue to advance, they lack the complexity, consciousness, and subjective understanding that humans possess.

AI can be programmed to perform specific tasks, analyze data, and even engage in conversation to some extent. For example, virtual assistants like Siri or chatbots can provide information and assistance based on predefined algorithms. However, these interactions are limited to the programmed capabilities of the AI and lack the genuine emotional understanding and empathy that humans bring to conversations.

Human experiences are deeply rooted in emotions, intuition, empathy, and a nuanced understanding of the world. AI does not have true consciousness or self-awareness. It operates based on algorithms, patterns, and data input, lacking the inherent understanding and personal context that humans bring to their experiences.

While AI can enhance various aspects of our lives and assist in many tasks, it is unlikely to fully replace the authenticity and complexity of human experiences.”

Being authentically human never felt so good!

My client felt relieved…. until he saw what I had in store for him next….

We discussed how time on the job, or time spent in a specific role of your career is not the same as gaining irreplaceable experience.

I had him answer this, and ask you to do the same:

  1.  How many new books did you read or listen to in the last 12 months that had to do with developing your professional skill set?
  2. How many seminars did you attend in the last 12 months to advance your professional skill development?
  3. Did you identify one skill, that if improved, would make a tremendous, positive difference in your professional outcomes, and begin to improve that skill?
  4.  How many podcasts are currently in your professional library that have to do with advancing your professional skill set?
  5. How many new connections have you added to your professional social media platforms, and have you joined the groups they belong to?

Surprisingly, he hadn’t done any of these….so forget AI replacing him….another, human, whose read a book, and stayed active with a professional podcast is going to replace or at least, surpass him.

Unless….

I gave him these tips, and hope you benefit from them as well:

UPSKILLING YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  1.  Read a minimum of 4 books in the next 12 months that develop your professional skill set – or at least expand your professional mindset.
  2. Attend 2 in person seminars in the next 12 months, and 6 online group “meet-ups” in the next 12 months.
  3. Find an outside coach, work on the one skill that has the biggest impact in your life.  This shouldn’t take long and should have a 3 to 1 payoff on investment into the coach vs. payback to you.
  4. Download and listen to a relevant podcast each day for at least 20 minutes
  5. Begin using professional social media to improve rather than a place to look for a job.

Seems simple…. seems very doable…. IMAGINE what could happen if even half of the 5 are done on a regular basis.

If this makes sense to you, and you want to amplify your authenticity…. YOUR OWN AE…. Let me know how I can best serve you.

Together, we are better.
